Chin Communications Offers Weibo Marketing Insights in association with the Australia China Business Council

On Tuesday 30 July 2013, Chin Communications will offer in-depth insights on Weibo Marketing at an Australia China Business Council  seminar –  Chinese Digital Marketing Landscape: Weibo and Beyond.

As one of the latest social media platforms in both China and the world, Sina Weibo has transformed China’s communications space where Weibo is first to break news. For example, after the Wenzhou Train accident in 2011; more than 10 million comments accumulated which eventually led to the dismissal of the Transport Minister. Sina Weibo also provides an open platform for many businesses that want to reach out to their target audience through unconventional, but increasingly vital communications.

During the past 20 plus years, Chin Communications has been working closely with clients in getting the language and cross cultural communications right, helping them to achieve their goals when tapping into China’s market. Traditionally, this has been done through us adding value to conventional marketing and promotional materials, most of which were in printed form or used during face-to-face meetings and presentations.

Businesses are using Weibo to reach that huge, cashed up mass of Chinese buyers – in China and also domestically, but aside from the numbers (over 500 million in China), has anyone considered why they would want to be on Weibo, and how to make this social media most effective in terms of building their business profiles and getting their voices heard?
