Chin Communications contributes to the delivery of the City of Melbourne's international relations program through a wide range of translation and interpreting services. In addition to courtesy calls and other events at the MelbourneTown Hall, they have assisted in a wide range of settings including beef cattle and dairy field days (including the details of cattle anatomy), celebrity Chinese chefs and sporting officials. Chin Communications has also supported the program through translation and the provision of cross cultural training.

Excelled in every aspect

In August of 2010 we launched a series of live videocasts at the Shanghai World Expo in an effort to promote education in Victoria to the China market, an initiative by the Victorian Government. We called on the services of Chin Communications to assist with the comparing and interpreting of these videocasts. The demands for this role were high, requiring a great level of skill and ability to work under enormous pressure. Chin Communications excelled in every aspect of the job. We instantly felt we could trust Chin Communications with the job at hand. This trust alleviated a lot of pressure and enabled us to concentrate on other aspects of the project.

Further to this role, we called on Chin Communications to translate the English content of the website into Chinese. Not only was I impressed with the integrity of the translated content but also the speed at which they were able to deliver it. I must commend Chin Communications for the level of service they provided. We are now enjoying a great relationship with Chin Communications look forward to collaborating with them in the future.

A fabulous deal

Astonished me with high levels of customer service

Recently I needed a simple translation into Vietnamese for a promotional banner stand. What I didn't expect was the level of service from Kate at Chin Communications. The best, most professional experience I’ve ever had

The interpreters did a fantastic job in communicating at all levels and, at times, complex industry information and training terminology. They also had an ability to match the 'tone' of the presenter.

I have been working with and through interpreters for over ten years, and this was the very best, most professional experience I've had – in fact, head and shoulders above nearly everyone else. I really want to congratulate and thank you for the tremendous care you obviously take in ensuring quality of both translations and interpreters. The participants particularly commented on the printed materials (i.e. powerpoint presentation handouts, and the curriculum notes and exercises) which appeared in both languages and allowed us all to follow along easily. I had never presented before using a bilingual slide, and that was great – made an enormous difference.

As for your interpreters, all were superb. They picked up instantly on everything, were very comprehensive and attentive, and interacted in a pleasant way with the participants and much less time than usual was wasted on interpretation. It definitely is worth it to have such professionals.
